"1812" The Navy's War" was published in Oct 2011. The year 2012 is the bicentennial year of the War of 1812 and I will be traveling extensively to speak about that war. I'll be on the radio at 2:30 P.M. today, April 26, talking about the Chinese navy, and about my new book, with Ken Kraetzer, whose program, Sons of the American Legion Radio Report, is broadcast all over the world. The station is WVOX in White Plains, New York.

John Carter Brown Library

Tuesday, November 10, noon - one. In honor of our veterans I'll be speaking about "If By Sea" at the "Lunch Box Friends" monthly gathering at the Falmouth Public Library. Everyone is welcome to attend. You are invited to bring your lunch. If you already have a copy of the book bring it along and I'll be happy to sign it for you. There will be books available if you need a copy.

Quincy Historical Society

CSPAN, Borders & NPR

My next event will be Tuesday July 1 at 7PM at Borders near the Maine Mall in South Portland, Maine. Hope some folks from the Portland area will stop by to talk about and discuss "If By Sea".

CSPAN BookTV (CSPAN2) will rebroadcast my talk at the National Archives on Sunday June 29 at 8:15PM. This is a much better time for most viewers.

NPR will broadcast an interview about "If By Sea" early in the day of July 1. Listen to "Morning Edition" on your local (Maine) NPR station. See the events page for more details.
